Rutgers University Raas And Garba Association (RU R.A.G.A.) strives to preserve, teach and promote Gujarati culture to an audience of all ages and interests. RU R.A.G.A. works to offer all college students an opportunity to cultivate their interest in the traditional dance forms of Raas and Garba. RU R.A.G.A. also takes part in intercollegiate competitions and to spread Rutgers University’s name at a national level. Hey Guys,

RU RAGA is going to be performing at Dandia Dhamaka which is being taken place in Ann Arbor, MI at The Michigan Theater on January 31, 2009. The reason this message is being sent out is because we want to take all the RAGA fans to the competition so that we can get a great support in the audience and have fun with all of you on the trip!

Here goes the Break down:

We will be leaving for Michigan on Friday January 30, 2009 at 12:15 AM from Tillett Hall on Livingston Campus. We will approximately get there around 2 PM. RAGA will not be responsible for the hotel accommodations for the weekend for anybody besides the team so therefore you can rent a hotel/motel anywhere with as many people you wish to stay with, that you will have to figure out for yourself.

The Bus will strictly leave from Tillett and will drop everybody off at Kensington Court in Ann Arbor,MI, which is the designated hotel for all Dandia Dhamaka Teams.

We will leave from Michigan on February 1, 2009 at 3 AM so that we all can get back to New Jersey before the Superbowl starts at 6 PM.

The price to get to Michigan and back to New Jersey for each person is $ 50. This price covers your trip from Michigan and back to NJ. The price is might go down or up based on how many people respond and wish to come because it is better if we take a full size 49 passenger Bus there and back to New Jersey. However, most probably the price will not change a lot of people wish to come and we can fill the entire Bus. I would love for that to happen because the more the merrier. The weekend is going to be a lot of fun.

I want everyone to reply back to me who wishes to come with us by Friday January 16, 2009 by 11 PM, so that I can book the right type of the Bus to take with us to MI. The money will be due to me or any other RAGA E-board member no later then Wednesday January 21,2009. We will have a list prepared by January 22, 2009 and those will be the people who will be coming with us to Michigan.
